Full MTI provisional liquidation update!
You were invited to a Zoom webinar on Monday, 18 January 2021.
As an investor/claimant in the MTI liquidation, you have to be very careful who you send your information to and who you engage with.
The Master of the High Court has appointed a number of liquidators to act in the provisional Liquidation of MTI. We will here refer to this team of liquidators and their supporting council (lawyers and advocates) investigators and auctioneers as the appointed liquidation team. This team is in the know and they are interacting with the FSCA, police, and international authorities to do everything they can to recover and take control of the assets past and present of MTI.
Unfortunately, there are other entities, which include solicitors, investigators, and liquidators which are not within the fold of this appointed team. These other entities are asking investors to submit their information to them and also to sign affidavits and/or powers of attorneys. Actions such as these are totally uncalled for. These entities, because they are not in the know, will be trying to disrupt the process of recovery. They need to be paid by you and will and can end up driving up costs for themselves and all the investors, it can also unnecessarily delay the recovery process for everyone.
Investors/creditors of MTI and Finalmente, if someone is asking you to send copies of your nomination forms, R500-00, or any money at all, sign a power of attorney or an affidavit run for the hills. They are attempting to draw you into an unnecessary trap that will not be to the benefit of you as a creditor/investor.
At this stage, the appointed liquidation team has not yet called for your claims. This team is preparing a platform and the administrative capacity to be able to effectively guide you and deal with your inquiries.
RAG will inform you by Video on our Youtube channel (Subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSPMrSrJjiDLI-lWe-E9-Yg) ,
The moment the appointed liquidation team has set up the platforms for your submissions, RAG will inform you. Best of all it will cost you nothing to make your submissions in South Africa to get onto the MTI creditors list. Procedures for the overseas claims will also be set out, clear instructions will follow.
